The city was occupied by the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh August 23, 1993. It was subsequently looted and destroyed and since remained a ghost town​.

The occupation museum will be located on the top of the hill to enjoy a comprehensive view of the surroundings.

JABRAYIL Occupation MUSEUM INTERIOR views

The centuries-long history of the city and its multiethnic population before the destruction and abandonment will be thoroughly illustrated with photos, videos, sound records, ethnographic objects of everyday life.

​Objects coming from daily life before the occupation will be displayed as testimonies of the disappeared social life. Interviews with direct witnesses of the occupation and of the events that followed will be also exhibited.



JABRAYIL BATTLE MUSEUM EXTERIOR VIEws

The major ground and air weapons used by the Azerbaijani army for the victorious battle will be shown through reproductions and footages.
Objects witnessing the phases of the battle will be collected and displayed.

JABRAYIL BATTLE MUSEUM INTERIOR VIEws

The halls will be dedicated to the reconstruction and representation of the major event occurred from 27 September until the 4 October 2020, day of the proclamation of the liberation.
In addition, a detailed report of every phase of the victorious battle will be described with maps, videos and sound effects.
A collection of the most important footages and sound testimonies of Jabrayil battle will be projected on a round-shaped screen in a continuous cycle.

A list of the battle Martyrs collected in an installation inspiring a feeling of respect, will be set up to conclude the museum path.
